So, yeah. Politics. Drew this a few days ago after the whole Californa fiasco.

For my non-American fans, Californa wanted to ban the sales of voilent games to minors. Anyone caught doing it would have to pay a $1,000 dollar fine. It was overruled on the account of free speech.

Personally, I love voilent video games. They is beast. But I don't really think an eight year old needs to play someone putting glass in a persons mouth and then punching him so he can get information. I don't think they will grow up to be insane killers, of course, its just that they can wait a few years. My little bro started getting in huge fights with his siblings after just watching me play Black Ops. I can take my voilent games without any problem. AGREE OR I WILL SHOOT YOUR NECK AND WATCH BLOOD POUR OUT OF YOU!! sorry..

Anyways, whats your opinion on that? Do you agree, they shouldn't play voilent video games so young, or do you not see a problem with it?

Oh, and I did a comic for Whose Line Is It Anyhoo? You should go see it! Go check it out.

I'm a pretty firm believer in the age old "If they're gonna do it, they're gonna do it." philosophy Like with the purchase of alcohol, minors have ways of procuring said products. As far as video games go, it's kind of up to the parents to regulate and educate that kind of thing. Buuuuutttt... that said, I don't really think they SHOULD sell alcohol to minors, and I can definitely see the violent video games to minors thing as well. A young child should probably have some kind of parental permission or presence when buying something that promotes the killing of hookers to buy drug money. Maybe the age could be lowered, so kids don't have to wait so long to buy them? What is the age at which they CAN purchase violent games?

Lee V.
I don't understand how it would violate the freedom of speech, but I think that if parents would be a little more responsible and not let their kids play violent games until they're old enough then we wouldn't need laws like this in the first place.

Now I'm going to go play my rated "E for Everyone" Super Mario games. :P

The legal age to get M rated games is 18, I think. I didn't see what the big deal really was in Cal.
But I agree with Lee. The age really should be decided by the parents. If they didn't know their kids had M rated games, then they have some problems..
